How to Block Facebook Game Invites from Phone and Web

Facebook Settings offer you a facility to block irritating game and app invitations from your friends. Users can stop receiving such invitations by following this instruction.

As a Facebook user, you always like to receive many friend requests from known and unknown Facebook users. But after being a virtual friend, the same people pester you by sending an invitation to play Candy Crush Saga or FarmVille.

At this moment, you feel like unfriending those gamers. Not anymore. There is a better option to stop getting Facebook game invites on your iPhone and Mac or Windows PC. We bring two simple methods for each screen. First, we will deal with how you can stop receiving all those game invites on iPhone and then on your Mac/PC.

How to Block Facebook Game Invites on iPhone

Step #1. Launch the Facebook app on your iPhone → Tap on More (Hamburg icon from the bottom right corner) → Scroll down and tap on Settings.

A menu will swipe up from the bottom.

Step #2. Tap on Account Settings from the three options.

Step #3. Scroll down and tap on Apps.

Step #4. Tap on Platform.

Step #5. Tap on No from under the “Game Invitations and App Notifications”.

After you uncheck the Application Requests and Application Invites on iPhone/iPad, you might also want to log out of your account and then log in again. More to clear the cache sort of a thing.

Now you won’t receive any invitation to play games or download apps on your iPhone.

How to Block Facebook Game Invites on The Web

Step #1. Open Facebook on your web browser → Log in with your ID & Password → Click on the inverted triangle from header menu.

Step #2. Click on Settings from the drop-down menu.

Step #3. Click on Apps from the left navigation panel.

Step #4. Click on Edit button from Apps, Websites and Plug-ins box.

A dialog box will open on the screen.

Step #5. Click on “Turn Off” button.

This will give you some relief from checking those unnecessary notifications of game invitations.

There is obviously one downside to this: if your friends send you invites/requests for some other app (which is not an annoying game), you won’t know about them. I’m counting on the fact that most of the time, you don’t want to see those invites/request notifications on your iPhone/iPad as you open Facebook.
